Is the Nobel Peace Prize still important today? Of course The Nobel Peace Prize is important today. The reason is because it doesn’t matter where you live, you can have a great idea and be funded for it if its good enough. If you don’t think it is then consider this : If you save someone’s life, then of course its important. If you have an idea that would save lives, or money, or nature, then it needs to be recognized and funded. This is why I believe that the Nobel Peace Prize is important.
november 27th , 2016 // what im thankful for
I’m thankful for a lot of things and people. Some people I’m thankful for are Keegan, Austin, Colton, Avery, Kylee, and Kayla. I’m thankful for these people for being great friends even when I’m getting on their nerves. The person im most thankful for is Erin. She is my best friend and she’s one of the greatest people I’ve ever met. Something I’m thankful for is living in a free country. I’m thankful for this because I have family that have either fought or defended the country or are active, and I greatly appreciate their sacrifice. Another thing I’m thankful for my lifestyle. I’m thankful I’m not starving or homeless. I’m thankful that I’m fortunate enough to have these things because I know a lot of people aren’t as fortunate as me, and many would give a lot to be in my shoes or have a life even a fraction as good as the one I’ve got. And those are the things I’m thankful for. Continue reading november 27th , 2016 // what im thankful for
November 22nd , 2016 //The Maycomb Tribune
Maycomb Tribune Editorial
As you all know, my name is Mr. Underwood. I run this newspaper, I have for years now. In today’s issue, I decided to include a little editorial, based on an experience I had just the other night. The topic is the racial situation here in Maycomb. I would like to address this situation head on. Just the other night I was ready to shoot a mob of Caucasians for attempting to lynch an African American man without even having a fair trial, or any trial at all for that matter. I know that many of you were raised on the foundation that white people are superior than blacks in many ways, but that is racist. There is no truth at all behind this support. The racist people here are no better than the pig sty’s they work in. You should not segregate someone based off of the color of their skin. White men are just as “bad” as whites in many aspects. White men rape, murder, and steal, just the same as blacks, except people with white skin get the right to a fair trial, whereas blacks get a “fair” trial, if they aren’t murdered by then by WHITE men. All of this has to relate to the event I experienced just two nights ago, concerning the black man accused of raping a white woman, with little to no proof. This man’s name is Tom Robinson. Now, I know Mr. Robinson , and he’s a right good man. Right good man. Nice family, sweet wife and beautiful children. But yet he is accused of raping an “innocent” woman, without any proof except for the word of a white family against the word of a black man. Now, if you are participating in the jury for Mr. Robinsons trial, you MUST set aside any racial issues you have and base your vote full out of the proof presented. You’re not doing this for me, or even Mr. Robinson, but you are doing this for yourself. Make the right choice.
November 4th, 2016// the reopening of the Emmett Till murder case
Keith Beauchamp contributed to the reopening of Emmett Tills murder case by going around to colleges around the world and presenting his unfinished documentary. Stanley Nelson also contributed by going to the county Emmett was murdered in and demanding the police reopen the case.
Emmett Tills mother, Mamie Mobley, decide that Emmett Tills funeral should be open casket. I think she came to this decision to help prove just how brutal society was to Negro’s at the time, although many did find this decision inappropriate.
Mr Nelson’s feelings on his documentary ” The Murder of Emmett TIll ” sates that he is honored to have made the film, although it was emotion and difficult for him.
October 6th, 2016// my mix tape about my life
If I had to have a mix tape about my life it would consist of a lot of trap and hip hop music because that’s the kind of music I like. It would include The Life of Pablo album by Kanye West because I love every single one of those songs. My favorite one of the album is Ultralight Beam. Another good song on this album is Father Stretch Your Hands Part 1. I would also include the song Sorry Not Sorry by Bryson Tiller. It’s also a trap song. Unfortunately, I can’t leave any of these songs below as they are explicit and no clean versions currently exist. But I will leave pictures of Kanye West and Bryson Tiller.
October 6th, 2016//my first crush
My first crush was a swim suit model named Nina Agdal, who is still looking pretty fine. I remember seeing her for the first time on an episode of Ridiculousness where she was a guest star, and then I looked her up after I watched the episode. I follow her on Instagram and I always look for her in my Sports Illustrated Swimsuit editions. She is tan and she is Danish. She has dirty blond hair. I was in about 6th grade when I saw her on Ridiculousness. I’m gonna do my boys a solid and include a picture below. You’re welcome.
